Senior Financial Accountant
JOB CONTENT & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Verify, allocate, post all financial transactions for assigned legal entities
• Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Asset Ledger
• Supervise Sub ledger accountants and verify Accounts Payable
• Reconcile account balances, ledgers and bank statements
• Supervise payment process and support cash forecast
• Secure correct periodisation and effective accrual/deferral process
• Spot irregular fluctuation of accounts
• Prepare high quality month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries in line with group timetable
• Secure high quality and timely group reporting and inter company reconciliation
• Prepare month-end close procedures
• Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks
• Produce high quality accounting reports and present their results
• Analyse ledger information and summarise
• Support financial standard setting and forecast process for assigned tasks
• Support department’s goal setting process
• Prepare annual financial statements according to local GAAP for assigned legal entities
• Support annual or quarterly audits for assigned legal entities
• Secure compliance and assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
• Keep regulatory filings and insurance requisites up-to-date
• Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion
• Provide guidance to other accountants when needed
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts
• Manage FOREX transactions
• Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, act as key user
• Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
• Take a role in, or support Finance projects, tasks and activities
• Follow internal control procedures
• Credit control support
• Support payroll calculation on request

EXPERIENCE
• 3-5 years proven experience in a similar position or as financial controller, accounting supervisor or chief accountant
• In-depth understanding of local and international GAAP
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
• Experience of working in a multicultural and international environment
• Experience from telecom industry
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, controlling or a related field ( ACCA, CPA, FCA)
