Sales Manager


We are looking for a highly energetic and driven individual to help us drive additional new revenue growth.

 

Reporting into VP, Global Sales, this role’s primary objective is to expand the sales pipeline in a  hunter type role ideal for a candidates with effective prospecting skills that enable identifying, penetrating and closing on new logo business.

This position requires strong experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder, business development and end-to-end sales life cycles.


Ideally from the Telecoms Industry with a Wholesale Voice and SMS experience and background, this multi-faceted role covers all aspects of the sales cycle from identifying suspects, qualifying prospects, pre-sales activities including working on RFPs / RFI’s / RFQ’s and responding to customer queries and clarifications and working with other team members throughout the organisation, through to closing the business deals and onboarding customers.


The perfect candidate would have an already established network of key stake holders and decision makers in tier 1 to tier 4 carriers along with ability to cultivate new relationships and demonstrate domain knowledge, being aware and responsive to industry and market changes/challenges by understanding key characteristics, issues and the factors driving them.


Good awareness of competitor's products, services and positioning an absolute advantage.


Responsibilities

·    Reaching out to potential customers through calls, emails and industry tools such as LinkedIn         as well as tapping into existing established network to acquire new logo business

·    Identifying key stake holder and decision makers within the Customer’s organisation

·    Respond to inbound inquiries

·    Take ownership of creating RFP / RFI / RFQ etc. proposals with input from internal teams

·    Representation at trade shows and conferences (mostly online via portals to arrange meetings       with potential opportunities along with occasional attendance required) 

·    Maintain active engagement with leads through follow-up communications

·    Manage through the sales process, progressing opportunities up the sales pipeline

·    Conduct high to mid-level online demos with support from internal teams

·    Stay up-to-date with the competitive environment and market trends and requirements

·    Representation as and when required as agreed with VP, Global Sales.

 

 

 

 

Requirements

·    5 years + experience in dealing with smaller tiered carriers in the interconnect billing, routing             and switching arena within the telecommunications industry

·    Technical knowledge a big advantage

·    Excellent in communications, networking and influencing

·    Strict self-management discipline and the ability to work remotely

·    Excellent time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.

·    Skilled in analytical thinking, understanding the needs of the customer and suggesting solutions

·    A highly energetic self-motivator who can work autonomously as well as a part of a bigger team

·    Out of the box thinking with “Can do” ethics
