Sales Account Manager - Voice & SMS - APAC
Reporting to the Regional Vice President, the role is primarily focused on maintaining and developing the Voice business with assigned partners, MNO’s and carriers in the Asia Pacific region to meet the defined margin and revenue targets. This role also includes activities on other services including Messaging, Mobile Roaming, Cloud and associated VAS products. The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for all sales activities for their assigned region which includes:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Voice trading and bilateral Sales with assigned customer portfolio (Asia Pacific focused).
· Portfolio will be a mix of tier 1 operators and tier 2 wholesalers.
· Volume commitment and bilateral deal making and management (working closely with Routing and Business Operations).
· Develop and maintain close relationships with assigned customers, professionally managing all customer requirements, needs and issues.
· Prospecting, development and closure of new business opportunities with customers and partners.
· Daily tracking and reporting on traffic, margin and revenue.
· Act as a liaison with all internal groups; including but not limited to Product, Finance, Legal, Business Operations, NOC and Marketing.
· Take lead on trouble shooting and problem solving customer or commercial issues, bringing in the right internal experts as needed to deliver timely solutions.
· Work closely with Sales colleagues within Asia and Globally to develop and deliver cross- regional opportunities.
· Regular and timely reporting to direct management team for sales performance review.

· You are a motivated and business driven person with experience in selling Voice.
· You will have ambitious targets to close (bilateral) deals, close new service contracts and develop markets to enhance the position of the company as preferred international partner.
· You are able to develop business with new prospects and have a proven ability to cross-sell a range of services.
· You realize your targets and company goals in cooperation with colleagues across multiple functions and at all levels e.g. Product Managers, Market Makers, Sales Engineers, Service managers and others.
· Your ability to translate the specific requirements of customers into a clear strategic customer approach is essential to support you in building profitable solutions.
· You are able to self-motivate, inspire and be inspired by others in an open, collaborative and results driven team.
YOU’LL BRING:
· 5+ years of experience in international Voice carrier sales and key account management. Must be able to demonstrate success and ability to develop and execute on business opportunities.
· Exisiting netowrk of contacts within the Asia region for international Voice business.
· Experience in Messaging and Mobile sales is a bonus but not essential.
· Highly motivated, proactive and organized self-starter with ability to work independently is essential.
· Target and customer focused with an ability to develop, grow and maintain new business within assigned accounts as well as developing new business opportunities.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Highly adaptable with ability to quickly learn new products and services.
· Highly developed analytical skills for business and trading decisions.
· Expected to have some basic technical knowledge related to telecom networks, interconnect types, capacity etc.
· Travel required, for both customer visits and event conferences.
· Must be fluent in English, second language preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
