The Role
The Procurement/Carrier Relations Manager is responsible for the procurement of all company’s voice termination, local numbers, Mobile Top-Up services and other (in)direct spend areas. That means being responsible for a yearly procurement volume of $70M or 70% of the total cost base of the company. Today, we are looking to grow the team in order to create more value to our customers, both external and internal.
 
Responsibilities:
• You will negotiate our voice termination and decide upon the quality and price mix for an assigned set of countries to ensure the smooth calling experience our customers deserve.
• You will be responsible for A-Z contract management in close collaboration with our Legal and Finance team.
• You will manage an international set of suppliers with only one goal: creating value through long-term relationships.
• As you are very opportunity driven, you will be constantly looking for cost-saving opportunities and aligning with our commercial managers to make sure we have the best pricing at all times.
• As we are entering very exciting times, you will be asked to assist different business units in their procurement activities in the area of Money Remittance and Banking.
• As you have an eye for improvement, you will detect business improvement opportunities and will lead this from ideation to implementation.
 
Requirements:
• University degree with top marks and you have already gained relevant experience
• Voice trading experience and/or affinity with FinTech is a must-have
• Procurement, negotiations or commodity sales experience are a plus 
• General understanding of the telecom market and banking industry
