Mobile Business Development Manager - IoT
Role Description
Stretching across the various go-to-market segments, the Mobile Business Development candidate will be tasked with identifying and driving new business opportunities related to services and applications accessed from, or delivered to, mobile devices.
To generate new, sustainable large-scale sources of revenue, team members must be able to synthesise business imperatives and requirements from various mobile ecosystem players to best position the company for successful deal closure within a complex multi-level sales process —adeptly leveraging internal and partner capabilities to help solve compelling business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute against agreed go-to-market and sales activities for all segments (Service Providers, large Enterprises, Next Generation / OTT providers, and other ecosystem players) for new Mobility product portfolio
• Close complex sales agreements pertaining to the new Mobility services portfolio
• Working with Sales and Solution Management, develop strategic account plans, as well as partner
engagement approaches, that clearly define “win-win” strategies to accelerate customer acquisition and
revenue growth
• Cultivate personal relationships with decision makers and key influencers within target customers that
allow the company to participate in the customer’s strategy brainstorming—in advance of
concluded plans and RFPs
• Identify the primary players within the IoT / mobile cloud ecosystem and build relationships with key
market influencers and thought leaders
• Work with cross-functional teams to craft, test and refine solution message for incubation products
Key Requirements
• 8+ years in Sales / Business Development experience selling mobile solutions to Enterprise , Mobile Operators or other players in the mobile services ecosystem
• 3+ years of technology sales expertise and innovation orientation in IoT, Enterprise mobility, mobile digital services, mobile broadband data and adjacent spaces with a good working knowledge and understanding of the evolving mobile ecosystem and their solution requirements
• Proven track record of building successful Sales / Business Development relationships with mobile ecosystem players or with large Enterprises for mobile solutions
• Experience in developing effective sales tools with regards to account engagement and customer proposals
• Success in managing multiple complex projects concurrently and delivering results under tight timelines
• Relationship-builder who is solutions-oriented; strong personal initiative and good judgment
• Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to deliver insightful recommendations in a
persuasive and thoughtful manner
• Demonstrated creative problem solving orientation. Ability to uncover and deconstruct complex business
problems and opportunities
