Customer Engineer


Job Responsibilities 

  • Carry out effective and quality customer service on all International transmission services, including SONET, SDH, IPLC, IEPL base on Huawei, ZTE and Nortel product
  • Daily operations include all activities supporting the field operations including all provisioning, faults handling, and overseeing all TX engineers and projects
  • To resolve customer issues by providing technical support mainly remotely, on an ad hoc basis on-site
  • Perform the mapping re-route to tester and run the circuit accepted test on field or remotely
  • Provide support within a global team to ensure proper handover of tasks/activities to ensure 24 x 7 support to company's client base (external/internal)
  • Ad hoc activities as assigned by Management from time to time

 

Person Specification

  • University Degree/ Higher Diploma in Electronic/Information System/Computer Engineering with around 3 years' transmission experience
  • In depth knowledge of carrier transmission technologies and basic knowledge of SDH carrier transmission technologies
  • Preferably transmission experience in telecommunications service provider markets and related qualifications i.e. ECI, Huawei, ZTE or Nortel etc.
  • Preferably field operation experience in telecommunications service provider markets
  • Customer-oriented, self-motivated and tactful in dealing with other people across different functions
  • Good communication(especially telephonic), presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Well versed in spoken English, and fluent Cantonese / Putonghua is an advantage
