Chief Product Development Officer
In order to achieve the objectives of your position, you will be managing and mentoring product teams, instilling a culture of driving change, strong understanding of the business needs, creating and owning the product strategy, product portfolio, product roadmap, positioning, business plans, market trends, requirements and use case scenarios. Also, you will be working closely with the Senior level team (CxOs), as well as other teams in the organisation.
During the initial onboarding time (3-6 months) you will be expected to spend 85-90% of your time in our HQ in Sofia, Bulgaria. In the long term you might expect a rough split of 50/50 % between Sofia and remote working, given that both daily workflow and team effectiveness are at the expected level.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development
- Manage the entire Group product portfolio life-cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. 2024 Product Portfolio consists of Global connectivity, Datacentre, Cloud, Managed and IT services, as well as some smaller segments.
- Bring new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing competitive landscape analysis, return-on-investment analyses and working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Formulate and execute product strategies that also clearly define Go-to-market plans, value propositions, competitive and product positioning, marketing and PR strategies.
- Responsible for the supplier agreements for our products, reseller agreements where Neterra is a reseller or distributor.
- Perform periodic product profitability study at segment levels to proactively identify mitigation plans.
- Conduct regular top management presentation on product roadmap and financial performance.
Team development
- Attract and mentor hard working and creative members of the team, with business acumen, negotiation skills, willing to make a mark in the world, by creating products, changing the industry step by step for the better. Participate in an employer branding program to facilitate attracting talent.
- Develop training, coaching and mentoring programs in order to develop new skills for the internal talent and grow team members to become world class professionals.

- A strong, experienced leader in the wider communications environment with great vision and foresight paired with entrepreneurial DNA.
- A tactical thinker and doer with the ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing when interacting with customers, team members, peers and senior management. Highly disciplined, organised and structured approach to tasks.
- Differentiates between customer need and what the customer actually buys
- Solid understanding of product and service life cycle as well as the underlying strategies to manage them. Solid understanding of IPLC, DIA, Ethernet and last Mile technologies, Colocation, interconnection, Cloud, SDN/WAN and Content broadcast/streaming technologies.
- Strong commercial focus, balancing vision with pragmatism to create growing profitable, market-leading products. Familiar with Blue Ocean strategies and other methods for creative product development.
